London Ontario: Former Barenaked Ladies frontman Steven Page, world music pioneers Delhi 2 Dublin, Canadian power-pop legends Odds, and children’s television and music icon Fred Penner are confirmed to perform at this summer’s Home County Music and Art Festival. The annual, volunteer-run festival is celebrating its 46th year of music and art in Victoria Park located in beautiful downtown London, Ontario on July 19-21, 2019.

Also performing are Canadian folk/roots staples, The LYNNeS, The Small Glories, & Dave Gunning. Several local performers will be featured at this summer’s festival including The Pairs and children’s performer Saidat. See full line up below.

At 46 years, Home County is one of Ontario’s longest-continuously-running folk festivals, and London, Ontario’s longest running summer festival. Home County Music & Art Festival’s unique programming provides a lasting impact on the cultural enrichment of the citizens of London and beyond. The admission-by-donation festival offers access to the enrichment of arts and music to over 55,000 festival-goers, of all socioeconomic backgrounds, from London, Huron, Oxford, Middlesex, and Elgin Counties, which is where the festival derives the “H.O.M.E.” in its name. By the numbers, there are approximately 50 musical acts, 6 stages, 200 volunteers, over 55,000 attendees, and an estimated economic impact of $1.4M for the local economy. Home County is operated by the Home County Folk League, a registered charity.

Along with its fantastic and diverse musical lineup, Home County hosts over 120 juried craft vendors selling high-calibre, original works. Vendors are provided a unique avenue to grow and support their business, while festival attendees are provided with an opportunity to enjoy incredible art, connect directly with the artist/crafter, support independent businesses, and acquire one-of-a-kind items.

This summer’s festival also will have a renewed commitment to showcasing visual art in the park. As part of several art initiatives, Home County will host live graffiti and a live “art battle” where local artists have 60 minutes to complete a piece of art that will then be auctioned in support of the Festival.

On Thursday, May 2, Home County Artistic Director Tim Fraser will be “touring” local radio stations and media outlets to discuss the festival line up. Please contact Tim by phone or email (provided below) to schedule an interview, live social media video, or photo op. Thank you in advance for your support of the 46th annual Home County Music and Art Festival.
