Adults and children alike will enjoy the family performers joining us this year. Catch some of these awesome performances starting this Saturday:
Fred Penner: 1:00pm Saturday, July 20th at the North Stage
Saidat : 12:00pm Sunday, July 21st at the North Stage
Drag Queen Story Time: 1:30pm Sunday, July 21st at the South Stage
London Girls Rock Camp: 2:10pm Sunday, July 21st at the South Stage
In addition to these performers, on Saturday, July 20th from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., the Children’s Museum will bring music programming and exploration of the science of sound to the park! Try out a Chinese resonance bowl, tuning forks and drums.
Also from 12:00 to 5:00 on Saturday, the London and Area Rug Hooking Guilds will provide backing, hooks, frames and wool as well as guidance and a hands-on approach to include visitors in interactive demonstrations.
On both Saturday, July 20 and Sunday July 21st from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., members of the London District Weavers and Spinners Guild will feature hands-on spinning (in which the kids are invited to try a wheel and take home a spun friendship bracelet) and weaving experience (in which they use a table loom to learn how weaving is done). Families are also invited to wrap brightly coloured yarn around supplied branches which are then gathered into a "nature weaving sculpture”.
