Home County books Canadian acts almost exclusively, and is geared to singer-songwriters in a variety of genres, (e.g. blues, bluegrass, Celtic, Quebecois, aboriginal, klezmer, creole, country-swing, contemporary, alt folk/rock) and small ensembles (quartets usually maximum). Musicians that fuse traditional styles in a contemporary way are of particular interest. Rock, pop/country or pop based acts need not apply.
Please be aware that the festival receives hundreds of applications each year, and the festival generally only books 25 – 30 acts per year. Due to the voluntary nature of the Artistic Director’s Position, only artists of interest will be contacted.
